I have a guest on the blog, writing yoga journal. Let me introduce you; that’s ME!!! That’s the way I was 2 years ago.
Before starting those yoga journals, I would like to say a couple of words today. Yes, people change by the time. However, people doing yoga change in a different way I guess. These old journals will be the most concrete evidence of the transformative effect of yoga. 2 years ago when yoga started to become a lifestyle by going beyond everyday practice, these journals showed up. I was still a white collar having a fancy life. This is like a picture of a flower blooming in spring, on the early days of my Yoga Teachers’ Training Course. Within these years, so many things have happened in my life that I couldn’t imagine. I got rid of my burdens, quit my job and went on a journey that I didn’t plan entirely. Even if it isn’t that powerful as in the beginning, there is still some sort of wave of transformation in my life.
It’s the story of a caterpillar turns into a butterfly…
In person mysef, my faimly, old boyfriend, old colleagues, my social network and even the people I met on my journey have wittnessed it already. And I would like to invite you too! And now, it’s time!
Yoga Journal – I: My Journey Started, Good Luck!
April the 5th, 2016
There is something that makes me very excited, that I can’t keep myself without sharing. Last weekend, my Yoga Teachers’ Training Course has started with my teacher whom I met 1 year ago on a yoga retreat. This training that I waited for 8 months, that I looked forward to will become a milestone in my life, I am pretty sure. So, I would like to share my excitement and experiences in this platform from time to time.
Yoga is the way. It’s the path of awarenesss, the journey to Self, to our being.
When a person starts doing yoga, it means that person starts questioning the body, the mind, the soul and the unity of all.
Awareness starts with the things you don’t want in your life. It’s something almost all of us questioning. Before answering what we want… And in the end not many people search for what they want. Cause it requires courage. And yoga also requires courage. Yoga is self-awareness which is something that some of us try to avoid.
Since we know what we don’t want, why don’t we chase for what we want? Cause, we are told that this world is mortal. Because of that, like spending seconds carelessly, we become crowds spending their life. I don’t believe it’s mortal, and if I don’t accept it my soul will suffer forever. It needs to find answers. In this body or nor, it will not stop until it finds the answers. Thus, if you have self-awareness and you want to transform yourself, do yoga.
Since yoga has been in my life, so many things changed. It was like, there was some kinda veil on my eyes and they have gone or the blurred sight has become clear, I can say. Some new things has been born and some old has been dead. Because, I realized that the things that had seemed frightening and impossible to achieve, became achievable when I turned inwards, to my Being. I know, I am just on the beginning of my path. And it is very exciting how will this path expand by time. I suppose, you will see and witness this beauty of expansion. Peace, peace, may the peace be with you. Salutations to your Self!
