I traveled for 1 year and have been to 9 different countries. Before traveling like a backpacker, I had already seen 10 more countries with a different mindset. I never thought about the diversity how we look. Cause before traveling as a backpacker, I only have been to Europe and when I was there, almost everywhere I went, I didn’t involve at all to local culture. I just passed through them. After US, my first stop was India and when I saw this Rşi (sadhu), an idea came up to my mind that I was gonna collect different portraits from different nations of whom touched my heart on my way. So Beauty in Diversity: Portraits From a Traveler project made to happen.
Beauty in Diversity: Portraits From a Traveler
After seeing those beautiful eyes of this Sadhu, I started asking people around me if they are from a different nation. So from April 2017 to November 2017 I collected many portraits from 33 different nations. I was expecting to increase the number, but I took a long break traveling. You may understand that I will travel again. And this time I wanna see more people from Central and South America, cause I just have 2:/
Anyways, let’s start to see the beauty in diversity of the first part of my “Portraits From a Traveler” project.
I feel really grateful whom I met on the way either I put their portraits or not. I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to see different cultures, traditions and amazing people. Hope to see more of the world!
Thanks for being a part of my project.
